My BKC FK-285 is perfect. I’m 6’1” and 210, carries me and way too much gear. Nice and stable, Added a troller for lazy days. Get a rudder, you’ll want one and she’s all set up for one. Very very pleased to be putting the Brooklyn in the water. Tons and tons of compliments.

My husband and I purchased 2 Kayaks for fishing and pleasure, first trip for pleasure and went to the Comal River in New Braunfels, TX, great product and easy ride on the rapids, no issues at all, very stable and lots of extras storage for everything you need for a river ride, we loved it!

First… I must say that I hesitated to order my new 285 due to some reviews that it took an extended period of time to be delivered. So glad that I ended up order the Kayak that checked all the boxes of what I was looking for. I had owned 2 other kayaks of major national brands previously. First… I ordered on Tuesday, received a phone call on Wednesday…. and had my new Kayak on THURSDAY !!…. Yes… Pleasantly surprised, to say the least. I didn’t even have my roof rack yet, so I borrowed mt wife’s truck to try it out. So Happy that I made this choice. Lighter and more stable than I was expecting, with more usable and accessible storage that I ever had, even on a 12.5 ft yak. Thank you for great service and a great product.
