BKC – PK11 Angler 10.5-foot Sit On Top Solo Fishing Kayak w/ Instant Reverse Pedal Drive, Hand Control Rudder, Paddle, and Upright Seat
The Brooklyn Kayak Company BKC PK11 Pedal Drive Solo Rover Pedal fishing Kayak is an ideal representation of informed design. It has a plethora of features the experienced kayak fisherman or distance traveler will love while remaining compact, lightweight, and agile. The core of the Brooklyn Kayak Company BKC PK11 sit on top kayak is a streamlined roto-molded UV-protected HDPE hull measuring 10-Foot 6-inches long and 2.8-feet wide. It rides currents, slices through chop, and glides over still water with effortless grace. The craft weighs only 60 pounds, so carrying it overland is easy thanks to built-in handles at the bow and stern and on either side of the hull.
But of course, it’s the pedal drive system that most excites; with bicycle-style pedals turning a high efficiency propeller, you can tuck your paddle into the kayak’s paddle keeper and go hands-free. The pedals have adjustable straps to keep your feet secure, and the entire system can be removed for traditional paddling if you prefer or upgraded with a trolling motor for greater power and speed. The Brooklyn Kayak Company BKC PK11 Pedal Fishing Kayak can be controlled via its hand-operated rudder, which allows for sharp, precise turns or slow, wide arcs as conditions merit.
Among this kayak’s other highlights is the craft’s copious capacity for cargo. It features a large watertight hatch set into the bow and an additional compartment tucked behind the seat, both of which feature dry bag inserts and that can safely stow items such as a wallet, keys, and snacks. The Brooklyn Kayak Company BKC PK11 also has a large rear cargo area with bungee tie-down straps; this area is ideal for bulky items such as a tackle box or dry bag. Scupper holes allow water to drain out of the kayak and can be sealed with included scupper plugs.
Fishermen will appreciate the trio flush-mounted rod holders that can keep a rod out of the way during travel or keep lines in the water during trolling, and all paddlers will be thrilled by the comfortable, ergonomic aluminum frame seat that comes with the kayak. The wide, supportive, seat can be adjusted for ideal positioning as you fish, paddle, peddle, or sit back and go with the flow. The Brooklyn Kayak Company BKC PK11 pedal fishing kayak can accommodate a combined user and cargo weight up to 420 pounds.

I am a 59 year old, 5′ 2″ female, weighing 125 lbs. and was able to assemble the pedal drive and rudder on my new fishing kayak (BKC PK11) , load it into the bed of my husband’s truck, off load it at the ramp, and then go catch some stripers! So much easier to cover water than my former fishing kayak. Easy to maneuver and plenty of space on board for storage. Can’t wait for next season! The fall run is winding down here on Cape Cod, but wanted to get on the water with it before it was all over.

I purchased one of these about two weeks ago. I am in love. This is my first kayak and it handles like a dream. I was a little nervous and was worried about stability. That is no longer a concern. It’s built very well and it’s a solid platform. You can get into places that you will never be able to get to by boat. There is ample storage and its comfortable to fish from. Awesome product.

I was 83 years old when I got my BKC PK-11 and began using it to fish the bays of Southern California. Now, I am 84 and the kayak and I are still out on the bays twice a week in search of Spotted Bay Bass or California Halibut. The boat is so comfortable that I have no problem fishing for 5 hours plus.
The picture was taken on New Year’s Eve 2018 while fishing the bay at Long Beach, Ca with some much younger companions. A great way to spend New Year’s eve.
The Brooklyn pedal drive boat has been a great asset to allow me to stay active and on the water.

I’ve had my BKC PK11 for 3 months. I’ve incorporated it into my exercise routine and I’ve lost 15 lbs since I’ve started pedal kayaking! The smooth pedal action makes it awesome fishing hands free, not needing my oars. I use my “Big Blue” sunup to sunset. The only bad part is, it makes me a little selfish, I don’t want to share. I tell my husband to get his own BKC pedal kayak.
