After a bit of a rough start, BKC really came through for me. As with many companies, mistakes happen. The initial delivery of the RA220 I ordered arrived without the seat. I reached out to BKC, and was told that the seat was on the way. I was in a bit of a bind because I ordered the kayak to take on a fishing trip and was leaving in a few days. Things got really strange when the second delivery was another kayak instead of a seat. The second kayak didn’t have a seat either. To say the least, I was bummed and I let BKC no it. Issac from BKC called me while I was on my way to the fishing trip. He was over the top apologetic. Issac assured me BKC would make things right for me. My next several conversations with BKC were with Kimberly via emails. Kimberly was terrific. She kept me informed as to what BKC was doing to fix the situation. Here’s what these amazing people did to make things right. They let me keep the second kayak as compensation for my losses and inconvenience and they sent me two seats. Yes, the initial order had problems, but the people at BKC went above and beyond to make me a very happy fellow. My daughter is now joining me on our favorite river and we are having a blast in our RA220s. What a great kayak. I would highly recommend this company and theses kayaks. And I would definitely do business with these people again.

I researched kayaks for several months before I finally purchased the BKC RA220 11.6′ Single Fishing Kayak . My first trip out, I loaded the 68 lb kayak by myself (without a dolly) and did it with ease. I kayaked the Rainbow River in Dunnellon, Florida and was able to get up close to the wildlife and enjoy all of its beauty. I enjoyed the day so much that I also went kayaking the next day at King’s Bay in Crystal River, Florida. Between the two days I paddled next to an otter snacking on river snails, saw a group of manatees and really enjoyed myself, all the while achieving a fantastic upper body workout during the COVID 19 gym closures! The kayak has plenty of dry storage for things like towels, electronics, and snacks. And, the bungee storage was perfect for my small cooler and life vest. I look forward to many adventures ahead of me

This photo was taken the first day we got our beautiful Blue Camo BKC Kayak! I am 75 years old and my only hobby has been golf since I retired in 1997. When I saw the Kayak that my husband had ordered to use for fishing, I knew I had to give it a try. I have always been afraid of kayaks turning over…since I’m not a swimmer, there was no way I was going to get in one! My husband assured me that this one was very stable and being a sit-on-top design would be very safe for me. Since a neighbor was out in the lake behind our house in her canoe, I decided it was a good time to give it a try. I loved it instantly…it felt very secure and I felt no fear. In this picture I’m in front of our dock where my husband and our little Dachshund “Izzy” are both watching me. I now go out almost every day, sometimes twice a day and Izzy goes with me. We are both having a ball! It’s so peaceful and quiet. There is no greater way to relax than this! This just proves that you’re never too old to take up something new!
